NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency will be conducting the UGC-NET December Session 2022 examination from February 21 to March 10, 2023. The examination city slips and admit card will be released soon on the official website.
The admit card will only be available for download for eligible candidates who have successfully completed the application process. The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on the date, shift, time and discipline as indicated in his/her Admit Card.
The candidates, who have applied for the examination can check and download their admit card, once released, on the official website — https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/ — through candidate login using their login ID and password.
In case of any discrepancy in the details mentioned on the admit card, contact the NTA immediately for rectification.
NTA is facilitating all candidates with an additional platform of UMANG and DigiLocker to download Admit Card and other important documents. Instruction will be provided in subsequent phases. Candidates are advised to visit the NTA Website and check their e-mails regularly for the latest updates.

How to download UGC-NET admit card?
To download the UGC NET admit card, follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the organization responsible for conducting the UGC NET exam: https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/
Step 2: Click on the link for “Download Admit Card” or “Login” on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your registration number, date of birth, and security pin as required.
Step 4: Once you have logged in, you will be able to view and download your admit card.
Step 5: Check all the details mentioned on the admit card, including your name, photograph, signature, exam center, and exam date and time.
Step 6: Take a printout of the admit card and keep it safe until the end of the exam.
About UGC-NET
The UGC-NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across India. It is conducted twice a year in June and December. The exam is used to determine eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The exam consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 is a common paper for all subjects, whereas Paper 2 is subject-specific. The UGC NET exam covers subjects like Commerce, Economics, Education, History, Law, Management, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. The exam is a computer-based test and the duration of each paper is 1 hour and 30 minutes. The questions in the exam are multiple-choice questions. The UGC NET result is released by the NTA on its official website and the scorecard is valid for a period of three years.

  1. How to retrieve your application number
    In case if you have forgotten your application number then on the log in screen of the portal, ugcnet.nta.nic.in , click the “forgot application number” button and follow the procedure given there. You will get your application number.
  2. How you can get admit card?
    The admit card will be uploaded on NTA website ugcnet.nta.nic.in as per the announcement on NTA website. Candidates need to check the admit card carefully for all particulars e.g Roll No. Name, Medium, Date of Birth, Gender, Examination City/Centre, Date and time of the exam, Category, etc.

  4. Am I required to affix my photograph on the Admit Card?
    Yes, Admit Card contains a declaration cum undertaking regarding Covid-19. You are required to affix your photograph and left hand thumb impression at the foot of the declaration/undertaking and also get the signature of your parent affixed at the space provided, before reaching the centre. You will be required to sign on the admit card in the presence of the invigilator at the exam centre.
  5. Am I required to carry a photograph to affix on the attendance register?
    Yes. You are required to carry a photograph to affix on the attendance register.
  6. Criteria for declaration of result
    As per the UGC policy, 6 % of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers will be declared NET qualified.
