The Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has launched the much-awaited Edit feature. As the name suggests, the feature allows users to ‘edit’ their messages even after they have been sent. “From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, we’re excited to bring you more control over your chats. All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after”, said the company in a statement.
The feature will come in handy for situations when you make a mistake or simply change your mind after sending a message. The timeline for the WhatsApp Edit message feature is 15 minutes, this means that users will be able to edit their messages up to 15 minutes after sending.
